Rogue Records America once again is honored and proud to announce yet another amazing addition to the family. MEANS END has signed a deal with Rogue for publishing and distribution of their next epic release and the re-release of The Didact.

The Didact will be reissued on September 17th both in a Digital and Physical CD. The official video for ‘Nox Aurumque’ off The Didact can be seen here: http://youtu.be/WHxgXfRCLeQ
The band is now in the studio writing material for the next album which will drop sometime in Fall 2014.

“The new release will be clocking in at a scale crushing 150 minutes of music. It will be more intelligent, powerful, complex, and epic than the last record,” states Robert Luciani, singer and co-founder of MEANS END.

MEANS END has quite a following in the metal community and in the social spaces. The Didact was received very well as a DIY indie release, both the publisher and the artist are hoping for a resurgence in engagement and gaining a new fan base with the reissue.

“When I was approached by Robert of MEANS END I almost fell off my chair, I’m a big fan and I love what MEANS END is doing in the metal world, so to have a chance to work with them is a top honor for me. Rogue will be working VERY hard for MEANS END, as we do with all our bands and we can’t wait to see what comes of the pairing,” says Dean Martinetti, Owner of Rogue Records America.

MEANS END had this to say about the new relationship with Rogue, “Of all the reputable companies we’ve approached, Rogue is the only one not afraid to stick their chin out. They bet on up-and-coming bands, invent modern and clever distribution and marketing strategies, work with alternative media channels like video-game publishers, and lots of other things that the ageing plus-size labels simply can’t match. More importantly though, our strategic partnership with Rogue will result in more and better music than ever before. We’re looking forward to drawing on all of Rogue’s creative talent.”

More details will be announced as we get closer to the release dates. In the meantime, fans can download the new mobile app with The Didact and older releases from MEANS END for free by visitinghttp://songpier.com/means-end.

MEANS END was formed in late 2011 when bassist Rasmus Hemse and drummer Christian Schreil were looking to build a progressive metal band. With acclaimed vocalist Robert Luciani and fusion guitarist Leonard Östlund, the band envisioned a sound inspired by artists like Eric WhitacreYellowjacketsDevin Townsend, and Meshuggah. In a few short months MEANS END released an EP with three songs to showcase the style they would be standing for and began composing a full length album. For the remainder of 2012, the band built endorsement partnerships with Toontrack, Fractal Audio, Lundgren pickups, and Microsoft and focused on music composition. After a year of hard work, MEANS END released their genre-defying debut album The Didact as a self-managed group. Now they set their aim forward once again and, together with Rogue, seek to push the boundaries on what it truly means to be progressive.
